At Dr. Wedemeyer's Office, we are pleased to offer a wide range of optometry services for our community! Our experienced optometrists can provide you with thorough eye evaluations, determine if you need corrective lenses and your exact prescription strength, fit you with the appropriate specialty eyewear, and help you pick out the most flattering pair of glasses for your face shape and skin tone.
Our new patient appointments always begin with a comprehensive eye exam. If you are unsure of your family’s eye health history, it’s helpful to research beforehand, so we can better evaluate your own eye health. [Visit our online patient center to download supplemental forms you can fill out before your appointment.] If you have never had a comprehensive exam, don’t worry! All the tests and exercises are simple and painless.

Specialty Contact Lenses
Dr. Wedemeyer began her love for contact lenses when she was fifteen years old. From that time on she has discovered the freedom of frame-less vision, which means full peripheral fields and cool sunglasses. She has been very nearsighted since early childhood and as a consequence, has devoted a large part of her practice to providing specialty contact lenses to her patients with high refractive errors to those with medical conditions like Kerataconus. With the advent of many new lens designs there is virtually a contact lens option for everyone.
A wonderful alternative to refractive surgery is CRT- corneal re-shaping therapy. The patient sleeps at night with the contact lenes and they re-shape, flatten the cornea overnight to do away with nearsightedness.
Dr. Wedemeyer’s office has a full guarantee fit so if you have ever thought you would like to try contact lenses, there is no better time to give it a try.
Medical Eye Care
Dr. Wedemeyer has the highest license issued in Texas to provide medical eye care to her patients. To be able to diagnosis and track her patients conditions, she has equipped her office with new high tech state of the art equipment.
Dr. Wedemeyer treats eye infections, foreign body removal, and corneal abrasions. She diagnoses and monitors diabetic retinal conditions, macular degeneration, and many conditions that may be caused by long term medications used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and breast cancer.
Dr. Wedemeyer treats dry eye conditions and prescribes Restasis when required. She also inserts punctal plugs to keep the tears on the eye surface longer. Recent research has shown that omega threes are an excellent source of oils to help keep the tears flowing more freely and she provides high quality supplements in her office.
Dry macular degeneration can be prevented with proper diet, good health and certain vitamins and supplements. Medop provides the highest form of Lutein and zeazanthin and that is why Dr. Wedemeyer keeps these vitamins available for her patients.
