Elissa R. Wedemeyer, O.D., F.C.O.V.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Wedemeyer is licensed by the State of Texas under the title of Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, the highest level of certification offered. She graduated from the The University of Houston College of Optometry in 1989 and has only practiced in Fort Bend County.
In 1997, Dr. Wedemeyer earned the title of Fellow in the College Of Vision Development , after extensive testing and case presentations in the care and treatment of her patients with visually related learning disabilities and binocular vision problems. In 1998, she became a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometrist by the same credentialing process.
Taylor Ballard Marsh, O.D.
Dr. Taylor Ballard Marsh is licensed by the state of Texas under the title of Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, the highest level of certification offered. She earned her doctorate from The University of Houston, College of Optometry in 2011.
As an optometry student, Dr. Marsh was inducted into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key Internal Optometric Societies. After graduation, she gained invaluable experience working at a large multi-doctor private practice in Conroe and The Woodlands. For the last four years, Dr. Marsh has worked at a successful private practice in Bryan/College Station. Her optometric experiences there included the co-management of cataract surgeries, the treatment of ocular diseases, including Glaucoma, the evaluation of pediatric patients for binocular vision disorders, and fitting all types of contact lenses. In 2015, she served as secretary of the Brazos Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Marsh’s love outside of eyes is cooking! She also enjoys spending time outside, hosting parties and get-togethers, reading, traveling, and watching Aggie football.
Dr. Marsh was born and raised in Missouri City/Sugar Land and is an honors graduate of Clements High School. She earned her undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. Dr. Marsh met her husband, Stephen, during college while working as counselors at a youth summer camp in Marble Falls. Stephen is a recent graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and practices as a small animal veterinarian in the Rice University area. Dr. Marsh and Stephen welcomed their daughter Camille on January 11, 2016 and are loving parenthood.
The Marshes are thrilled to be back in Missouri City and living in Sienna Plantation. Dr. Marsh is so excited to join Dr. Wedemeyer in providing top quality eye care to the residents of Fort Bend County.
